Well, how about I start out with what we are.
We are The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of East Peoria, Illinois.
We are a religious institute of pontifical right dedicated to apostolic works, whose primary commitment is to serve the sick and the poor.
We were founded on July 16, 1877 by the Most Reverend John Lancaster Spalding, D.D. and Mother M. Frances Krasse, O.S.F.
We follow the Rule and Life of the Brothers and Sisters of The Third Order Regular of St. Francis approved by Pope John Paul II on December 8, 1982.

Our spirit is symbolized in a shield bearing the Franciscan coat of arms.
Our motto is “Deus Meus et Omnia,” My God and My All.

For the “Who We Are,” keep reading.
You’ll probably get a better idea of that by looking at the rest of the site. The purpose of the whole site is to help those discerning a vocation to the religious life to get to know us.
Of course, the best way to get to know us would be to come for a visit. :)
Our service to God in the sick and the poor is accomplished mostly through our governance of and work in our healthcare system, OSF Healthcare.
